Today’s profile is NT Greens candidate for Fannie Bay, Peter Robertson.

Peter grew up on a farm in southwest Western Australia and has been a full time environmental campaigner for the past 40 years in WA, Tasmania, Victoria and the Northern Territory.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received and who did it come from?

“If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well.”  This came from my father.

Tell us something interesting or quirky about yourself.

I can do a headstand for ten minutes.

How would your best mate describe you in twenty words or less?

Determined, passionate about protecting nature and human rights, I follow my convictions, am calm, and have attention to detail. This came from my partner.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could bring one movie, one album and one book, what would they be?

Movie: Gallipoli directed by Peter Weir. My great uncle Wilfred Harper was the inspiration for the lead character.

Album: Astral Weeks by Van Morrison.

Book: Light on Yoga by B.K.S Iyengar.

If you could have dinner eat  any person in history, who would it be and why?

Greta Thunberg. She’s a gutsy global inspiration for action on climate change.
