Lawler Government signs another gas supply deal with Beetaloo player

A day after the Federal Government committed a quarter of a billion dollars for renewable energy in the Territory, the Lawler Government has signed another gas supply agreement with a key Beetaloo Basin player for the Territory’s electricity system, before the company has been provided final environmental approvals for expansion or finalising an agreement with Traditional Owners.

Idle solar plants expected to be connected to grid with $250m federal government commitment

The Federal Government has announced $250 million in renewable energy spending for the Northern Territory, which the Australian Conservation Foundation said it expects will in part go toward connecting solar plants to the grid that have sat unconnected for years, following warnings from the NT Utilities Commission of widespread blackouts starting over the next three years without investment in the system.
