Good and no parent or sane person should have any problems with this. Now sane and reasonable persons excludes Greens and Labor so expect those bed fellows to complain
Its a pity Kat has taken a stand, so quickly, against this initiative to make a schools safer places for our children. She needs to get out and speak to her electorate of Nightcliff.
The Green’s Kat McNamara can come to Alice and try talking nice to some of the 6 year and older causing havoc on a regular basis. Just wear your kevla suite and helmet as you may find talking nice to them will give you an exceptional experience not needed.
Kat McNamara would not be able to provide a coherent explanation for juvenile criminal behaviour, or recount instances where this issue has been resolved, yet such events have occurred and explanations that led to remediation have indeed been forthcoming.
Instead, Kat would have us believe the prisons will be full of sweet wide-eyed innocent ten-year-olds, crying “Why am I here mummy?” I rather doubt she has witnessed a psychopathic ten-year-old helping to kick an old person’s head in; as has happened on more than one occasion.
In other words, Kat needs to examine the real world before commenting. She was not elected to give free reign to her raw emotions. Having said that, only the emotionally alienated children who have committed “adult crimes” should be in Corrections.

If the Greens are against it then it’s got to be a step in the right direction.
