The Darwin Local Court was shut down on Friday afternoon after a person died following a “medical episode”, court officials said, with the public being moved on as the body was removed from the building.

A 50-year-old man who allegedly assaulted a taxi driver in Casuarina last week and suffered head injuries after the driver allegedly fought back has died in hospital, NT Police said.

The NT Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a taxi driver who was allegedly assaulted in Casuarina on Thursday evening, but fought back, sending a 50-year-old man to hospital “in a serious condition”.
