NT Police are investigating the discovery of a body east of Alice Springs on Saturday afternoon, while also dealing with a massive brawl in the CBD and another home invasion over the weekend.

Police issued a statement late Saturday evening stating they had responded to reports of a man’s body found on a pathway near Undooyla Rd around 4:05 pm. The man’s identity is yet to be confirmed as of Sunday, with the cause of death still undetermined.

Investigations are continuing, with police calling for anyone with relevant information to contact them at 131 444.

Meanwhile, police arrested four men and reported two men being knocked unconscious in separate incidents in Alice Springs over the weekend.

The first incident involved up to 10 men involved in a brawl early Sunday that resulted in two individuals being knocked unconscious, prompting police to seek assistance from the public in identifying the suspects.

Police said the fight started in the parking lot of an entertainment complex on Barrett Drive around 2:55 am, where a 25-year-old man was allegedly attacked and kicked in the head by two others while he was down, requiring transportation to Alice Springs Hospital via ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.

A 20-year-old man, who was also involved in the brawl, reportedly became aggressive while receiving medical care after regaining consciousness, forcing police to arrest him. The man suffered minor injuries.

The offenders are still at large with investigations ongoing.

Police also reported arresting four men following a break-in at a licensed establishment on Todd St around 9 pm on Friday.

Responding police units arrived at the scene and set up a perimeter. Officers noted that the roller shutter on the property had been partially pried open and a window had been shattered, but there was no sign that anyone gained access.

CCTV operators identified that five people were involved and had fled the area.

Police said that three adults, aged 18, 27, and 42, along with a 13-year-old boy, have been charged with attempted aggravated burglary and property damage.

They are scheduled to appear in Alice Springs Court today.

One suspect remains at large, with police appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Meanwhile, the police are also seeking information regarding an aggravated burglary in Braitling on Saturday.

Police said at around 1:50 am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of the incident at a home on Lackman Terrace in Braitling, where three unidentified male suspects entered the residence and began searching for car keys.

The suspects reportedly kicked down the locked door of the house where the two occupants were hiding and threatened them while demanding the keys.

The offenders fled the scene before the police arrived. The victims were unharmed and no items were reported missing, police said.

The three suspects are still at large, with Strike Force Viper continuing the investigation.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding these incidents to call 131 444 or report anonymously on 1800 333 000 or via https://crimestoppersnt.com.au/.
