There are no known active cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Territory, the Health Minister Natasha Fyles has said.
Ms Fyles told a press conference on Thursday morning that on Wednesday night she had been told the last remaining COVID-19 patient in the NT had tested negative.

The last NT patient was an Australian Defence Force member who was one of four military members who were flown to Darwin together after contracting the virus in the Middle East.
The last new case reported by the government where the person was diagnosed in the NT was on April 6. The patient was identified as a woman the government said has been in self-quarantine after flying home from Sydney to Darwin on March 28.
South Australia also has zero cases.
University of South Australia Professor of Biostatistics Adrian Esterman wrote on The Conversation, the South Australian government is looking for 28 days of no new coronavirus cases (twice the incubation period of COVID-19) before they will consider it eliminated.

Ms Fyles did not say when the NT would considered it eliminated but did say she did expect more coronavirus cases in the Territory.
The minister said she spoke to the federal Health Minister Greg Hunt on Wednesday morning and he said things ‘were on track” for bio-security zones to open on June 5.
Anyone wishing to enter a declared zone must quarantine for 14 days in an excluded area in the NT prior to entering or re-entering or demonstrate they are an approved remote essential worker.
Included in the zones, which take up most of the non-pastoral and non-townships areas of the Territory, is Kakadu National Park.
A statement from the Department of the Chief Minister said all 30 of the cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in the NT were connected to interstate or overseas travel.
