Witnesses have provided accounts of recent serious crimes in the southern region of the Northern Territory that contradict details made public by the NT Police, showing them to be more serious than reported, and with police seeming to suppress important details from the public.
UPDATED: NT Police say they are now treating the deaths of two adults and a baby who were found dead at an outstation north of Alice Springs on Sunday as a “domestic violence incident” after finding a gun at the scene.
An 18-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in Alice Springs while jogging along a trail at dinner time on Wednesday, NT Police said, calling for any witnesses to help locate the perpetrator.
An Alice Springs cabbie had his taxi stolen by two men, one of whom had allegedly threatened the driver with a knife, who also made off with cash and the driver’s phone, NT Police said.
