A group of armed offenders allegedly involved in a series of burglaries and car thefts from various Alice Springs homes over the weekend, that saw them driving stolen vehicles dangerously around the town while throwing rocks out of the windows, avoided arrest and are still at large, NT Police said.
The “extensive” manhunt for two young offenders who escaped the Alice Springs youth prison on Tuesday has ended after the pair turned themselves in to police with the support of their families on Wednesday night, the Corrections Commissioner said.
