  1. The situation is neatly summed up here. There is only one group that can fix this because they have the authority to act. They adopt the narcissistic stance of blaming others and accepting no responsibility.

  2. The only people who will fix this problem are the people causing it all!
Almost 100% of children inside NT youth jails are Indigenous!

For Adults Imprisonment rates From ABS:
The imprisonment rate per 100,000 adult population was:
1,044 persons for the Northern Territory, up 1% for the quarter
287 for Western Australia, down 2%
    234 for Queensland, up 1%
    216 for South Australia, stable
195 for New South Wales, stable
    141 for Tasmania, up 2%
    128 for Victoria, up 1%
109 for the Australian Capital Territory, down 1%

    Indigenous incarceration stats from ABS:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander imprisonment rate(a), By states and territories, Dec 2021, Sep 2022 and Dec 2022
Dec Qtr 2021 Sep Qtr 2022 Dec Qtr 2022
    NSW 1,895.9 1,986.6 1,983.1
    Vic. 1,753.6 1,796.1 1,943.7
    Qld 2,362.8 2,251 2,284.5
    SA 2,379.1 2,623.3 2,531.1
    WA 3,647 3,623.2 3,662.1
    Tas. 805.7 705.4 739.2
    NT 2,914.2 3,173.9 3,233.4
    ACT 1,810.5 1,762.6 1,969.9
    Aust. 2,325 2,354.4 2,382.8

So the NT with its tiny population of 254,016 is 2nd only to WA (pop 2,702,000) and has more incarcerated indigenous than NSW (pop 8.18 million.) !!Those adult Indigenous incarceration rates go up every time year!

What do the pure official stats say? It all suggests that Indigenous kids are walking crime waves and they are do not get better as they grow up! How is a Government going to address this mindset and this way of life ?

    • Yep, and the NTG has again raised the age to 12 years old so there is no record or arrest when they commit a crime as it makes the NTG appear that the crime rate is down. This is blatantly cooking the statistics. If the Aboriginals were not committing the crime, they would not be behind the bars or fences. But wow when one dies in custody what an outcry, we see and hear. It all becomes a coronial inquest and the blind justice systems who don’t appear to understand LAW and ORDER is for all those who lead a righteous life and live in safety and enjoy life and grow old compared to those who constantly break the law who should have limited of any rights at all appear to have all rights. The Justice system is out of control and corrupt. If you break the law, no matter what race you go to gaol.
