After a decade of neglect and poor decision making by the Liberals, Territorians simply can’t afford another three years of an incompetent federal government.

When Scott Morrison and his Coalition ministers drop into the Territory during an election, they think they can instantly become experts on the NT.

But this Prime Minister takes no responsibility for how his government has failed the Territory time and time again.

From leasing the Port of Darwin to the skyrocketing cost of living and the failure to deliver an anti-corruption commission, the Coalition’s track record shows they simply do not care about us.

The Port of Darwin is a critical strategic asset for Australia, and yet under Scott Morrison’s watch, it was leased to a Chinese-owned company for 99 years.

It was recently revealed the Coalition gave the Country Liberal Party government nearly $20 million in incentives to privatise the critical asset.

Territorians and all Australians know this deal should never have happened on Mr Morrison’s watch – that’s just common sense.

The Morrison Government also promised Australians an anti-corruption commission before the last federal election – more than three years ago.

But as is usually the case with this Prime Minister, it was all announcement, no delivery.

The Coalition’s ever-increasing list of scandals and cover-ups has reinforced the urgent need for a powerful, transparent and independent National Anti-Corruption Commission which Federal Labor is committed to delivering.

The most pressing challenges in our economy have also been created on Scott Morrison’s watch – rising inflation, falling real wages and nothing to show for a trillion dollars in debt.

Federal Labor wants to get the Territory back on track after a decade of missed opportunities and bad decision-making by the Liberals.

Territorians do not deserve another three years of neglect.

After a decade in power, it’s time for this tired old government to go.
