Government to pay for security guards at bottle-shops, capsicum spray for transit officers

Security guards will be temporarily stationed at bottle-shops at government expense and transit officers and bouncers will be allowed to carry capsicum spray, under proposed policy changes announced by Chief Minister Natasha Fyles this morning in the aftermath of the stabbing death of a bottle shop worker, along with a pledge to review bail laws and penalties for weapon offences.
