Offenders who broke into and ransacked a Katherine school classroom are still on the run, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement that about 7:30pm on Wednesday a break-in at the school in Grevillea Rd. Katherine, was reported to police, with the unknown offenders causing a large amount of damage to fencing and windows to get in.
He said the offenders allegedly ransacked a classroom before fleeing the scene.
There are two schools in Grevillea Rd, Macfarlane Primary School, and Katherine High School, and while police did not specify which school it was, the high school has a fence while the primary school does not.
Police are asking anyone with information on the break-in to call them 131 444 (quote reference NTP2400026094) or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
