A Toyota LandCruiser that was lit on fire along the Stuart Highway in Acacia over the long weekend has police seeking witnesses.

NT Police said sometime between Friday July 23 and Tuesday July 27, the broken-down grey vehicle was set on fire by unknown people before being removed from the side of the road.

“Anyone who may have driven past the vehicle, has information as to its whereabouts or who may have dash-cam footage is asked to contact police on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference 9748178,” said Remote Sergeant Paul Parkanyi.

No further information was provided.
