NT Police have carried out “high-visibility antisocial behaviour patrols” last week, with a focus on the seizure of alcohol in the northern suburbs of Casuarina, Karama, Malak, Moil, Parap and at East Point.
Police said the patrols resulted in 116 litters of alcohol being seized, disbursing of 160 people, and taking nine people into protective custody.
It was unclear over how many days the police conducted the patrols, or where the disbursed group of people eventually ended up.
NT Police said they will continue to focus on licensed premises patrols around Darwin, with an emphasis on disrupting the secondary supply of alcohol and antisocial behaviour.
“We are working together with other government agencies, local government and non-government entities to tackle the recent increase in antisocial behaviour,” Superintendent Peter Malley said.
