Julalikari Council Aboriginal Corporation’s finances are being examined by order of the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, after the statutory body brought in an independent accounting firm to forensically audit the books.
The ABC reported the investigation into the finances on Wednesday, which follows a January 19 document seen by the NT Independent, that shows registrar delegate Kevin Vu authorised Paula Smith, Jack James and Elliot Woods from the Western Australia-based firm of Rodgers Reidy to examine the books of the JCAC, which is based in Tennant Creek.
