The prestigious Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards have opened again this year to recognise the industry’s best local tourism operators and experiences.

Brolga, the official NT tourism awards program, recognise tourism businesses that strive for excellence in various areas of their operations, with 25 national business categories.

Nominations for the 2022 Brolga awards are free, with a range of assistance offered to NT tourism operators to assist with submissions. Winners will go on to represent the NT at the Australian Tourism Awards.

This Dry Season, the NT’s tourism operators, accommodation providers, festivals and events, including industry suppliers will be maximizing locals’ and tourists’ desires for adventures and holiday events.

The 2022 Brolga Awards will be held in Alice Springs on November 12. Nominations close on August 31 and submissions are due on September 12.

Tourism has been key to driving the Territory’s economic comeback. The NT’s tourism sector is made up of hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses. It employs thousands of workers and pours millions into the Territory’s economy.

Earlier this year, the NT was recognized with two gold, one silver and one bronze awards, at the national Australian Tourism Awards, including Katherine Outback Experience and Darwin Convention Centre who both took out top honours with gold awards.
