A fresh five-year Designated Area Migration Agreement has been established for the Northern Territory, enabling employers to access more overseas workers until June 30, 2030, significantly increasing the number of eligible occupations from 135 to 325.

Under the NT DAMA III, up to 1,500 nominations for overseas workers will be permitted annually through the Skills in Demand or Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa programs to address workforce shortages across various industries. This is a substantial increase from the previous allowance of 625 nominations.
