A man has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run in Marrara overnight, NT Police have said.
Major Crash Unit Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Corey Borton said that about 12:45am Sunday, a 27-year-old man was found injured and unconscious on Batten Road, Marrara. The man declared dead by St John Ambulance, he said.
“The man’s injuries appear consistent with having been struck by a vehicle,” Act Snr Sgt Borton said.
“It is a dark road, and it is possible the driver is not aware they hit a person. We are asking anyone who may have been in the area last night or has information to contact police.”
Anyone with information, including dash-cam footage, should contact police on 131 444.
