Police are looking for witnesses to a knife attack on a Darwin street, which left a man in hospital but the agency has not said if the man was stabbed or what injuries he suffered.
NT government marketing manager Sita Bacher said in a statement that about 12:30am on Saturday, a 32-year-old man was “assaulted” by a number of people armed with weapons in the vicinity of Yanyula Drive and Lee Point Rd, Anula.
She said one of the group “is believed to have assaulted the man with a knife” before the group left the scene.
Mr Bacher did not say if the man had been stabbed, or what injuries he had sustained but she said he was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.
NT Police gave no indication if there were suspects in the attack or how many people they believed were on the run.

Nothing like good timely release of information to help find witnesses that might have remembered something if they acted sooner.
