They are lucky I don’t live in the NT as you would hear me from all over the bloody country. This is not the only thieving from the Indiginous mob. It has cost the population more the just a few million and is one of the greatest jokes of out times. It has been going on for so long and nobody is held to account. Thieving . bludging bastards the lot of them as well as the politicians who just cover it up.

I can only say- In every other state parliament the opposition would have been so loud in questioning the sitting government that the end result would have seen a lot of people being made accountable through inability proceedings!

The government created a scheme where work was restricted based on having Aboriginal employees in order to survive. The outcome was to be expected when the program was not managed competently. Those that ticked the most boxes made the most profit from the scheme.
Fraud, involving funds destined to resolve genuine Aboriginal disadvantage never reaches those in need, having been previously siphoned by opportunists. Some of these I can already identify but I want more evidence and so seek this from various organisations and the NT Government. Their response? Ignore me. Perhaps a member of the public may have an answer. Originally, such funding was provided by the Aboriginal Benefits Trust Account (ABTA). The word TRUST was in compliance with Treasury Regulations because 50% of funding came from the taxpayer; (the other half, mining royalties). At some point in time the word TRUST was removed and grants were bestowed the merits of which no reasonable person would approve. I want to know the circumstances of conversion to Aboriginal Benefits Account (ABA). This is where the rorts commenced. Millions are recoverable but the total figure may be in the billions.
It wouldn’t be difficult to identify WHEN the Trust was removed from the ABTA Tony, perhaps even by WHO. WHY is probably then self evident but getting a judgement that it was unlawful ? near impossible.
Same old scenario, same result. Now let’s get Council monies!!
