Darwin home prices could accelerate next year if anticipated interest rate cuts go through, amid an ongoing housing shortage, a new property forecast report released by Oxford Economics Australia has found.

Darwin home prices edged down 1.7 per cent to $483,000 in 2023, a level unchanged from a decade ago, the report said. Modest growth is expected in the first half of 2024, with prices ending the current financial year up 2.8 per cent.
