NT Police are calling for the public’s help to identify the driver of a black sedan that allegedly struck a 41-year-old female pedestrian on Mitchell Street on Wednesday night and drove off.
Police said the woman was taken to hospital with injuries following the incident, that occurred around 11:55pm last night.
Despite all the CCTV in the area, the only description of the vehicle police offered was that it was a black sedan that “stopped momentarily” after striking the woman, but then sped away.
“Investigations are continuing,” police media director Mark Wilton said in a statement.
“Police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police and quote reference number P24185338.
“Anonymous reports can also be made through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via https://crimestoppersnt.com.au/.”
