The Fair Work Commission has dismissed an application by Katherine Town Council chief executive officer Ingrid Stonhill for an order to stop workplace bullying, after finding there was no ongoing risk following the departure in August’s municipal election of the councillor she had accused.

The decision was handed down on Thursday, with Commissioner Bernie Riordan finding Ms Stonhill’s application under section 789FC of the Fair Work Act 2009 had “no reasonable prospects of success” because the alleged perpetrator, former councillor Amanda Kingdon, was no longer an elected member of the council.
