A woman has been charged for allegedly assaulting a paramedic who was treating her in Alice Springs yesterday afternoon, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said that about 5:40pm Thursday it was reported to police that a woman was requiring medical attention at a home in Bloomfield Street, Gillen.
“St John Ambulance attended, and the female patient allegedly physically assaulted one of the paramedics treating her,” Mr Wilton said.
Police said the paramedic suffered minor injuries, and the 60-year-old alleged offender was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with assaulting an ambulance emergency worker and was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
