A powerful and passionate Territorian who many political observers thought would bring her integrity and professionalism to NT Parliament at some point has resigned as executive director of the Environment Centre NT, after six years holding successive governments and industry to account for their environmental failings.
Kirsty Howey has resigned from the ECNT, effective August 14, to take up a new national role interstate that has yet to be announced, the ECNT said in a statement on Wednesday.

what an innings from Dr Kirsty Howey: six valuable years of service to the community. Not only nurturing the environment centre through expansion and transformation but also more broadly to social movement organising in and for NT. I’m sure that whatever comes next will see Dr Howey continue to contribute to the territory. thanks and congrats
