Tivan partners with Aboriginal Investment NT for the Molyhil Tungsten Project

Tivan Limited (TVN) has signed a first-of-a-kind Memorandum of Understanding with Aboriginal Investment NT (AI NT) to explore project investment and collaboration for the Molyhil Tungsten Project in the NT. The MoU focuses on Indigenous-led economic development and equity participation, promoting economic opportunities and cultural stewardship in the region.

“Through this engagement, we will explore how investment, employment, and enterprise development outcomes can be embedded from an early stage, creating pathways for long-term economic participation and self-determination,” AI NT’s chief executive Nigel Browne said. TVN focuses on developing critical minerals, particularly for mining projects that support renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors.

AT-PAC expands network with new branch in Darwin

AT-PAC has opened a new branch in Darwin to enhance support for industrial, mining, energy, and infrastructure projects in Australia. Located in Berrimah, the facility will provide local access to scaffold stock, rental equipment, and technical support. This branch will serve multiple sectors, including oil and gas, mining, and defence. It will offer sales and rental services alongside engineering support to reduce delivery times and improve responsiveness for contractors in the region. This expansion follows recent growth in Adelaide, and AT-PAC continues to enhance its services across Australia as part of the Umdasch Group.

NT Government’s eConveyancing platform streamlines land transactions

The NT Government’s eConveyancing platform is transforming land transactions by reducing processing times from days to minutes, it says. Since its launch, the platform has seen over 3,500 documents lodged by 200 registered users.

Corporate and Digital Development Minister Joshua Burgoyne said the platform, which entered Phase 2 in February, allowed online lodging of caveat documents via the PEXA platform, following the success of Phase 1, which brought ‘digital mortgage’ and ‘discharge of mortgage’ documents online. The next phase, launching later this year, will further streamline residential property and land transfer transactions, enabling 24/7 electronic lodging of additional documents.

Tivan sets up a $50m in funding for Molyhil with Sumitomo, ETFS

Tivan has also signed memoranda of understanding with Sumitomo Corporation and ETFS Capital to develop and finance the Molyhil tungsten project in the NT, with up to $50 million investment planned in stages. Tivan will maintain an 82.5 per cent stake post-investment decision, while Sumitomo and ETFS may invest up to $25 million, each for an 8.75 per cent equity stake.

Binding agreements are expected by Q3 2026, pending approvals. This approach is similar to TVN’s strategy for the Speewah fluorite project. A Preliminary Feasibility Study is due by Q4 2026, leading to a Definitive Feasibility Study to advance the project.

DevEx secures an extra $150,000 funding for its uranium project

DevEx Resources (DEV) has secured $150,000 from the NT Government for preparations for a major drilling campaign at its Nabarlek Uranium Project. The funding supports a 1,700 km airborne hyperspectral survey in August to find key uranium targets.

Total government funding under the ”Resourcing the Territory” program is $285,000. A 17,000-meter drilling campaign is planned, with the first drill rig arriving in July. DevEx is also on track to acquire Alligator Rivers tenements this month, enhancing its uranium exploration efforts.
