NT Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the suspicious death of a 37-year-old woman who was found in a Casuarina car park on Saturday afternoon.

Police did not reveal the specific location where the woman was found, only to say it was a car park at a Casuarina shopping centre shortly before 3pm Saturday.

Police and paramedics attended the scene where the woman was declared dead and a crime scene established.

“The cause of death is yet to be determined and investigations are continuing,” Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Morrissey said.

Police are urging anyone who may have any knowledge of the events leading up the woman’s death to make contact on 131 444, or file an anonymous report through crime stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 10265493.
