Three new Darwin buildings are set to get murals.
The Malak Community Centre, Malak Oval’s pavilion block and the Wanguri Oval toilet block are the latest structures in Darwin set to receive colourful murals.
Darwin Council’s Northside Amenity Beautification Project will see the three buildings transformed by local street artists with the help of Proper Creative Darwin.
Murals will be created on the wooden external panelling of three sides of the Malak Community Centre, the feature wall of the Malak Oval pavilion and all four walls of the Wanguri Oval toilet block.
It’s unclear what images will feature on the buildings, with final concept designs to be submitted to council in the next month.
Proper Creative have previously been commissioned throughout the Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine regions to create public mural projects.
