Delays and cancellations to low-tide ferry services at Cullen Bay due to seasonal weather and sedimentation build up has prompted an urgent maintenance dredging this month.
NT Infrastructure Minister Bill Yan said dredging Cullen Bay will maintain safe and reliable ferry service for more than 150,000 ferry passengers each year, particularly those travelling to and from the Tiwi Islands and Mandorah.
It’s taken 2 years to become urgent!
