Northern Territory Police said they have found the body of a man who fell from a cliff yesterday afternoon while hiking in Kakadu National Park.
Police spokesman Rob Cross said police officers, Kakadu Park Rangers, local clinic and CareFlight staff were all involved in a search and rescue effort.
But the 29-year-old man’s body was found this morning.
St John Ambulance Territory Duty manager Craig Garraway told the ABC the man fell while hiking with some friends a few kilometres from Ranger uranium mine at 5.30pm on Monday.
Mr Garraway said the hiker had fallen “quite a distance”.
Mr Cross said a report would be prepared for the Coroner.
