“Sadly, this is not the first time AirAsia has done this, so I would be incredibly reluctant to consider doing business with them again in the future.”

The planes where visibly light flying out of Darwin but jam packed as a cheap way to fly into Australia! That means at a uneconomical 70% load, the flights had barely 20% load on them out of Darwin!
I am so sad this day has come. Its all down to the massive charges at the greedy Darwin Airport!
Forget the Port, The Airport must be taken back into the Publics hands!
NT airport charges need to be discussed
Has the Northern Territory Government subsidised this foreign airline with tax payers money and if so how much tax payers money has been provided and if so why is there a lack of transparency and secrecy as to amount of tax payers money that may have been paid on this and past occasions?
