Territory Police are investigating a deadly crash that claimed the life of a 20-year-old woman after her vehicle rolled over on the Stuart Highway south of Darwin yesterday afternoon.

At around 12:20 pm, police received a call about a single-vehicle rollover 10 km north of Adelaide River.

Police and emergency services who arrived on the scene confirmed that the woman, the sole occupant of the vehicle, died from her injuries.

The woman’s death marks the first life lost on Territory roads for 2023.

Police, who are still investigating the accident, urged motorists to avoid using the route if possible.
