A woman is being treated at Royal Darwin Hospital after being assaulted by a group of people she knew near the Woolworths supermarket in Darwin city on Thursday night, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said that about 10:30pm, a 31-year-old woman was assaulted with a blunt weapon by the group near the supermarket on Cavenagh Street.
“The female suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving treatment at Royal Darwin Hospital,” Mr Wilton said.
He said a 32-year-old woman, a 30-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man had been arrested and remained in custody while the Serious Crime Squad investigated.
