A woman allegedly stabbed a bouncer in the leg with scissors while being kicked out of a city bar, and then stabbed a woman twice in the head at the Darwin bus exchange, NT Police said.
Police communications director Mark Wilton said in a statement that at 5:17pm Wednesday a male security guard kicking a woman out of a Mitchell St bar was threatened and then stabbed by her in the upper leg with a pair of scissors.
He said members of the public provided first aid to the bouncer, and he is still being treated in Royal Darwin Hospital.
The woman then went to the Darwin bus exchange in Harry Chan Ave in the city, Mr Wilton said, and allegedly stabbed a woman in the head twice with the scissors. The victim also remains in RHD but police did not say what injuries she suffered, or what her condition was.
Police did not specify how long after the Mitchell St stabbing the bus exchange stabbing happened.
Mr Wilton said the CCTV operators identified the woman and she was arrested. The agency did not say where or when she was arrested.
Police are looking for witnesses, and anyone who has dash-cam footage of Mitchell St between 5 pm and 6 pm, to call them on 131 444.
Seriously, what goes on with these people, using “edged weapons” . What’s happened to our beautiful community. Lack of police resources, too much for projects. Wrong priorities. Time for a change of Govt.
