A 23-year-old woman is in hospital after being stabbed in the head and chest while she slept at a Zuccoli residence around 3:35am, NT Police said.
She reportedly woke up while allegedly being stabbed by a 15-year-old female at the home on Follington Street.
“Palmerston general duties officers attended the incident, and the victim was conveyed to the Royal Darwin Hospital by St John Ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said in a statement.
The 15-year-old girl was later arrested at the intersection of Chung Wah and Temple Terraces after police searched for her.
Police said the teen and the victim are believed to be known to each other.
“Serious Crime is currently investigating the incident and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” police said.
