NT Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 50s who was found unresponsive near a bus stop on Karama Crescent Monday night.

Police said in a statement they were notified about the unresponsive woman around 8pm.

She was declared dead shortly after emergency services arrived on the scene, police said.

The cause of death is under investigation, with police calling for anyone with information to contact them.

No further details were provided, including whether the police suspect the death is suspicious.

“Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444,” police media director Mark Wilton said.
