One company was awarded $206 million from the NT Government for two contracts – the most money awarded in government contracts since 2013.
The biggest winner in the NT Government sweeps was Puma Energy Fuel Pty Ltd, reaping in more than $206 million from just two contracts.
The Australian fuel giant was awarded a tender for $197 million in 2018 to provide fuel to Territory Generation to deliver power in remote communities and another $9 million to provide the same service in a separate contract in 2019.
Territory construction company Sitzler Pty Ltd is second on the list, winning 16 tenders for a total of $164 million.
In third place is Australian Fuel Distributors Pty Ltd, that secured $160 million in funding for two projects, providing fuel for Katherine Power Station and remote communities.
Rounding out the top five is Territory trucking company Ostojic Group Pty Ltd which won 18 contracts worth $126 million and NEC IT Services Australia Pty Ltd, which secured 37 contracts worth $125 million primarily handling government computer systems and networks.
Construction companies Allan King & Sons, Halikos, Lend Lease Building, Exact Contracting and Sunbuild round out the top 10 and have all won contracts in excess of $100 million.
