CLP Leader Lia Finocchiaro has refused to say who in her office made the call not to inform the public about Josh Burgoyne’s car crash in August of last year, while fronting the media on Tuesday for the first time since Mr Burgoyne was charged with careless driving causing serious harm in relation to the crash that sent two healthcare workers to hospital with injuries.
Ms Finocchiaro said Mr Burgoyne told her about the crash at the time, but that they did not expect charges until last week, when Mr Burgoyne was informed by police he was likely to be charged in connection to the crash that police allege he caused by failing to give way at an intersection in Alice Springs.
At the end of the day this is just a motor vehicle accident unfortunately with injuries but let’s not lose sight this happens every day. And for Labor to try and turn it into something it’s not is just so typical of there gutter tactics, having a motor vehicle accident isn’t covered be ministerial guidelines unlike the holding of shares and not disclosing the fact no there’s a story!!!
