Three men who allegedly robbed a Humpty Doo grog shop by ramming a stolen vehicle into the roller door have been arrested separately in three different locations after evading officers, NT Police said.

Around 5am on Wednesday, the trio was seen in a CCTV ramming a stolen Toyota Prado into a commercial business.

After damaging the roller door, they then allegedly broke into the establishment and stole a quantity of alcohol.

Authorities said the trio immediately drove off from the business and went to a fuel station in Durack to fuel up. They allegedly did not pay for the fuel and drove off.

NT Police said Strike Force Trident officers located the stolen vehicle parked in Malak, with the men inside the car.

The officers managed to arrest one of the men, a 21-year-old.

The vehicle sped off to evade police. It was later seen abandoned in Alawa where police said they chased the two men on foot and arrested another 21-year-old man who was attempting to climb a fence to evade police again.

Both men were taken to Palmerston Watch House yesterday and are set to appear at the Darwin Local Court today.

The two 21- year-old men face multiple charges related to unlawful entry, damage to property, stealing and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

One of the men was charged with “depriving a person of personal liberty”, but police did not elaborate on that.

Meanwhile, the third man involved was also arrested separately on Wednesday after police officers identified him in the Darwin CBD in possession of the stolen alcohol. The 22-year-old was arrested and taken to Palmerston Watch House.

Police later discovered that the 22-year-old man had prior involvement in two other unlawful entries earlier this week.

He was also charged with multiple counts of unlawful entry, damage to property, and stealing, including one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle unlicensed.
