Three acting local court judges John McBride, Carly Ingles, and Ben O’Loughlin have been appointed to the NT Local Court to “alleviate pressures on the justice system and provide better justice outcomes”, the Attorney General has said.

Chanston Paech said the funding for the additional judges for the NT Local Court was announced as part of Budget 2023, but did not provide a figure.
