Four teens have been arrested and another is on the run after a night of chaos through Darwin’s northern suburbs, that started with a car-jacking at knife point, followed by a ram raid of a bottle shop and police later having to abandon a high-speed chase down Tiger Brennan Drive after the teens “attempted to ram” a police vehicle, NT Police said.
The night started with a woman having her silver Mitsubishi ASX stolen outside her residence on Aralia Street around 10:35pm, after being approached by two youths, one of whom threatened her with an “edged weapon”.
PENALTY means ‘jack-shit’ to juveniles that are prepared to weaponize, assault, enter private dwellings that are occupied. NT is but one episode away from mortal miscalculation. An inevitable event beyond current available responses.
