A 14-year-old girl has been charged with aggravated robbery and being armed with offensive weapon at night after she allegedly broke into an Alice Springs house and threatened the occupant, NT Police said.
Police director of communications Mark Wilton said in a statement that around 8:50pm Monday the teen allegedly broke into the house on Latz Crescent in Larapinta in Alice Springs, breaking a window, threatening the occupant, and stealing items before leaving.
He said she was arrested at 11.35am on Wednesday at a house on Lyndavale Drive in Larapinta.
Police said she was charged with one count each of aggravated robbery, entering a dwelling with intent to commit an offence, theft, use of an article to disguise, being armed with offensive weapon at night, and three counts of breach bail
She was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
Mr Wilton did not say what weapon the girl allegedly had been carrying, whether she used it to threaten the occupant, and he did not give the age of the occupant.
