A teen has been arrested and charged over an alleged month-long crime spree throughout Darwin that included break and enters, assaults, theft and fraudulently using stolen credit cards, NT Police said.

The 15-year-old male was reportedly arrested yesterday as part of a Strike Force Trident and Dog Unit operation.

Police said in a statement that 12 matters were investigated in relation to the teen.

He is now facing 24 charges including aggravated assault, obtaining benefit by deception, unlawful entry, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and disorderly behaviour.

“The extent of these charges is incredibly disappointing,” Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said.

The teen, who was remanded, is to appear in Darwin local court today.
