Top End revheads will be left spinning this week as more Supercars events and activations have been scheduled over the next few days around Darwin and Palmerston.

This year’s festivities kicked off with the “Supercars in the Square” celebration at Goyder Square in Palmerston, heralding the upcoming 2026 Betr Darwin Triple Crown, happening at Hidden Valley Raceway this weekend from Friday to Sunday.

Wednesday night will see the Supercars truck convoy start from Hidden Valley Raceway through Palmerston, along the Stuart Highway and into the Darwin CBD.

On Thursday, the Track-to-Town event returns to the Darwin CBD with Supercars travelling up Tiger Brennan Drive to the Espalande, where fans can meet drivers Chaz Mostert and Broc Feeney and enjoy live music, food trucks and car displays.

Deckchair Cinema will be screening “Supercars: Road to Glory,” featuring the 2025 Supercars Championship finale on Thursday night.

From Friday, racing moves to Hidden Valley for the Super2 series debut during the Indigenous round, featuring local racer Rossi Johnson.

For the first time, Supercars will compete over three days with Indigenous Round liveries and Friday will also see the return of monster trucks on the MXGP track, while Saturday night will feature “Summernats Goes Top End,” complete with aerial stunts, motocross, drifting, and a kids’ zone with a pit paddock.

Palmerston Mayor Athina Pascoe-Bell said that the event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to experience the thrill of motorsports in Palmerston.

“Supercars in the Square will bring the energy and excitement of motorsport to Palmerston, creating a unique experience for residents and visitors alike,” Ms Pascoe-Bell said.

“This free event is a great opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a fun evening out and get up close to some incredible vehicles.”

Tourism, Hospitality and Major Events Minister Marie-Clare Boothby highlighted the Supercars event as more than just a weekend of racing. She said the week is filled with vibrant, family-friendly activities that unite the community in a uniquely Territorian way.

“As monster trucks take over the MXGP track, and convoys course through Darwin City, one thing will become patently clear: that there’s nowhere better to live, work, visit or invest than here in the NT,” she said.

This year’s Darwin Triple Crown is set to deliver thrilling motorsport excitement, with the main event taking place at Hidden Valley from June 19-21.

Last year, the Darwin Triple Crown drew a crowd of 37,000 people, the government said, estimating a contribution of almost $28 million to the NT’s economy.

More info on this week’s events can be found on the Darwin Supercars website.
