Police cordoned off much of Darwin’s waterfront on Tuesday after an unexploded WWII ordinance was found at the popular precinct and later detonated.

The Department of Defence said a Second World War 60 kg high explosive bomb was discovered in the Stokes Hill Wharf area by a construction crew, with the exclusion zone around the explosive spreading down Mavie St.
