NT Police have used fingerprints to identify people they believe were involved in a string of burglaries in Katherine overnight, that included hitting the same house twice and assaulting a resident, and are calling for anyone with information to come forward.

Police said around 1am a group of four male youths attempted to break into a residence on Condon Street before fleeing the scene when confronted by the occupant of the house.
