Seven girls and women have been arrested in Alice Springs for allegedly bashing a 16-year-old female last Friday which NT Police did not make public until today, while a video of the brutal attack shows the victim being being hit in the head with a scooter, bashed with a metal baseball bat, her head kicked and stomped on, and her assailants trying to smash her head into a bitumen road.
Police have also alleged the group “forcibly removed her clothes” following the beating.
I know naught other than that reported today. Five female teens and two adult women aged 30 and 32 years. Their point of interest? To injure or kill a sixteen year old female?
Every territorian knows we can no longer build Prison Cells fast enough for Courts to fill them? Ipso facto . . . if your a territorian there is no option other than to convict and release?
It matters not. Whether it is Wadeye – Alice – Katherine or Tim-buck-too. Not one “territorian” is safe? Today . . . we are told “The entire N.T. Police top-brass currently under investigation by an Australian Federal Police Assistant Commissioner”?
Two adult women “led” five young females to assault a single female teen? I spent 20 years working with adolescents on the streets of inner Melbourne. Violence and homicide . . .not a surprise. We have here in the territory failed Government(s) . . . A failed Government? And, we have a much greater responsibility: Safe Homes and safe streets?
