Enough is enough. Because this problem of a lack of respect is overwhelmingly an Indigenous issue it is time to label it for what it is without the fear of being labelled a racist.
The weak woke leftists who have created this unacceptable behaviour through their continued belief that First Nations deserve a different standard than the rest of Australians, need to take responsibility for this current crisis. The Government also needs to understand that by removing the power of the elders to discipline their people they have lost all respect and pride in their communities.
This total frustration and lack of respect has turned the Elders into more of the problem than the solution.
It is time that Western society shows more respect to a culture that spans at least 20 times our existence and stops forcing our laws on a culture that is so old and continuous that it makes us look like a joke. Dominance is not democracy.
It is time for our brilliant leaders to understand that our laws are worthless (and, in fact debilitating) in the Indigenous population and time for us to try to understand them not dictate our beliefs.
Only then will this issue be truly addressed but I fear it may be too late.
The next step is to engage Norforce otherwise.
Western laws will not overcome the current problems.

The interest on debt in the NT Is more than $1.2Million dollars a day- yes. Stop and swallow that, that’s a lot of meals, at least two houses,money for health services to stop the code yellows and more than enough to fund replacement baths at PRH to replace the ones that didn’t. Then PRH can have a maternity ward!
This Government just approved pay increases for themselves!!! It’s a self self Lia Government. Sadly Lia hasn’t posted any pictures of her and her ministers jumping for joy with their pay increases!!

We have 28000 public servants with 6 times the senior managers than a comparable Tas Gov! I am sure one of em has audited the Opposition leaders travel!

The debt is not to be mentioned by either parties. Dont mention it and it wont be a issue! Lowering the debt means seriously slashing the NT Public Service! No government has the gall to do it as the economic consequences means they lose their MLA positions, and thats the priority!!
