UPDATED: Once touted by the NT Labor Government as the biggest prawn farm in the world that would create hundreds of jobs, Seafarm’s $2 billion Project Sea Dragon was ordered by the Federal Court on Thursday to be wound up as insolvent, which the court found was operating insolvent since “at least June 2020”.
The NT Government had spent more than $56 million of taxpayer funds on roads for the company that entered voluntary administration in February 2023.
A total waste of tax payer money which has given a great road for Kununurra fisho’s to the Keep River, but must confess l made a quid out of it.
