The Fyles Government failed to properly hire an ICAC Inspector before the last inspector’s term ended in September, so instead used an undisclosed amount of taxpayer money to strike a high-level hiring panel to recruit for the job, placed ads around the country for more than a month, and then decided to hire the same guy whose contract they let expire, the Chief Minister has revealed in Parliament.
Natasha Fyles told Parliament last night that she would be moving a motion on Thursday “recommending the appointment of an ICAC Inspector”, who had been the subject of “an independent panel” that had “gone through a process”, before revealing that person to be Bruce McClintock, who had held the role between 2018 and September 2023.
With this Labor government, the hits just keep on coming.
Let’s hope the lady whom had the fortitude to dump a plate of cream on the face of the chief of BS got a reprieve and was rewarded for the action – looks like many of us might that opportunity to do the same, only this time, with our vote …..🤞

Why do you need a ICAC Inspector when ICAC is not inspecting anything?????

has not arrested anyone or led a investigation that had someone arrested.
ICAC’s zero runs on the board means their is no corruption in the NT or his office is sitting on its hands, deliberately not investigating anything!
